George Karimi | Executive Director
Mr. George Karimi holds a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Political Science from the University of Nairobi, an International Diploma in Restorative Justice from Queen’s University, Kingston, Canada, and a Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Theology from East Africa School of Theology.
He has held various management positions at the Central Bank of Kenya, including roles in Currency Operations, Human Resources, Banking, and Finance. He was also appointed as the Liquidation Agent for Kenya Finance Bank and Diners Finance Bank Ltd. Over the course of his career, Mr. Karimi has attended numerous local and international seminars and workshops on topics such as International and Central Banking, Human Resources, Personnel Management, Banking Law and Practice, Debt Management, Leadership Development, Materials Management, Productivity, Company Liquidations, and Fundraising.
In addition to his professional experience, Mr. Karimi has served as the patron of the Central Bank of Kenya Christian Union, a member of the Anti-Corruption Committee in the Prisons Department, and Chair of the National Community Service Orders under the Probation and After Care Department, advising the Minister for Home Affairs on prison-related issues. He also served as the Secretary for PFI’s Africa Caucus and as a member of PFI Africa’s Leadership Team, as well as Regional Envoy for English-speaking countries.
His community service roles include being a board member of Blessed Hope Church and Ithekahuno Secondary School, Chairman of the Evangelism Committee at P.C.E.A. Thome Parish, Vice-Chair of the Justice, Peace, and Reconciliation Committee at P.C.E.A. Thome Parish, Secretary of P.C.E.A. Thome Sacco, and Registrar at P.C.E.A. Thome Parish.
