The Prisoner’s Journey (TPJ)

Through The Prisoners’ Journey, we walk alongside inmates as they explore the life, suffering and redemption of Jesus Christ.

Prisoners are cut off from society and are left alone to cope with hopelessness and despair beside the spiritual prison they are in.

The Prisoner’s Journey (Safari ya Mfungwa) transforms the lives of prisoners, from the inside out, by introducing them to a restorative relationship with Jesus.

THE PROCESS

How it works

Invitation

Prisoners attend a promotional event organized by the prison chaplaincy and PF Kenya in prisons where they watch a video introducing them to the restorative power of Jesus.

Gather

Participants enroll and meet weekly in small groups to learn about who Jesus is, what He calls them to do and what He wants for them.

Graduation

Course graduates are recognized and celebrated at a ceremony and receive a Bible and a certificate of completion.

Discipleship

Course graduates are invited to enroll in additional discipleship programs i.e. Prison Project Philip to develop a deeper knowledge of Jesus.
